The close association between economic and financial reforms and public expenditure provide important implications for the pattern of economic growth a country might experience. It is increasingly observed that governments in developing countries resort to
various compensatory schemes and public subsidies in order to continue with policies favoring economic reforms. The changing patterns in aggregate, regional and cross-country public expenditure of various kinds have complex impact on growth and development. Papers focusing on macroeconomic as well as microeconomic interactions between reforms, public expenditure, growth, human capital, development, public policy, etc. are suitable for presentation in this conference.
Papers accepted for presentation may also be considered for publication in the South Asian Journal of Macroeconomics and Public Finance (Sage) subject to consent of the author (http://www.sagepub.com/journals/Journal202141).
Papers may be sent to Dr. Saibal Kar, Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta, India. E-mails: saibal@cssscal.org / skar1801@yahoo.com
Last Date of Paper Submission: August 15, 2013
